Seeking Youth Services Officers for the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS) of Ontario

The Youth Justice Division operates five Youth Centres across the province of Ontario that provide rehabilitative programming and reintegration services within a secure environment to young persons in conflict with the law. These secure custody/detention facilities accommodate young people ages 12 to 17 (at the time of the offence), who are being detained or serving sentences.

The Youth Services Officer position will provide potential candidates with an opportunity to work for an employer that promotes diversity; while they support and deliver programs and services in custody/detention facilities intended to keep youth active and engaged, focused on addressing the specific risks and needs of youth related to reoffending, teaching new skills, keeping youth safe, resolving conflict and helping youth make better choices upon their return to the community.

We are currently seeking Youth Service Officers (YSO) in Thunder Bay, Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie region for our facilities in northern Ontario. For more information about the job position, please see the attached infographic and brochure.
